75 Hard? Try Again. 10 Hard? Still No
Can you commit to doing something — every single day — for 10 days? Sounds simple, right? Most people think they can, but let me share a story about “John” (not his real name).
John joined this 10-day challenge I’m in. On Day 1, the task was straightforward:
📹 Post a video in the group. It could be a live video or a recorded one. Just a quick commitment video.
But instead of reinforcing his commitment to the challenge…he hit the very first obstacle on day ONE of the10 day challenge and noped right out.
Now, I get it — not everyone is comfortable with technology. If you’re not facebook or smartphone proficient, I completely understand.
But even when the community jumped right in to support and help. Suggesting he could even just write a post instead of doing a video…he still was stuck.
The community doing exactly what it is designed to do, support and motivation to endure, right?
Nope…
❌ “It’s ok! Nothing ever works out for me!”
First off, not really ok…
But worse is that “woe-is-me” mindset — that life is against me, nothing works, and there’s no point —that mindset keeps us trapped and is exactly what stops us from growing.
Here’s the truth:
💡 We all want to be the kind of person with unwavering commitment. But when you hit your first obstacle, what do you do?
➡️ Do you find a way to push through?
➡️ Do you pivot and go around it?
❌ Or do you bounce off and quit, sitting on the sidelines complaining that “nothing works”?
The key to success is simple: show up and keep showing up.
💬 But here’s the catch: commitment dies in isolation.
💡 Commitment thrives in connection.
When you surround yourself with people who share your goals, dreams, and setbacks, something powerful happens: you grow, you break through, and you keep going.
So, where will you connect this year? Who will you surround yourself with to keep your momentum alive and crush your goals?
Get in the room with the people who are doing what you want to do. That’s where the real magic happens.
